I have an alpha version of RockSolidSTL - a transmitter-side audio player that pulls the audio down from a Windows Media Encoder instance or other streaming audio service compatible with Windows Media Player.
Please send me an email and request a copy and instructions. It’s just Alpha right now so I’m working out (mainly) installation issues as well as making sure it’s working well, and is the high quality needed for radio.
Features
Primary Audio pulls from a streaming source, e.g. a local Windows Media Encoder instance or a service such as Media Serve (formerly Church Quest).
Secondary Audio automatically plays if the connection is lost, and includes a Bumper list, Play list, and Legal ID list.
Cross-fades between primary and secondary audio
Legal IDs automatically play at the top of the hour
Aggressive re-connection for the primary audio

The RSR website is undergoing a change. I’ve recently seen the need for super simple radio software, including automation, STL, silence detection and fill and more. I’m going to give it a go, starting with a high quality, reliable STL that works over the public internet, is easy to setup and will automatically switch to unlimited local fill content, including auto-legal IDs, if it loses the STL.
Watch the site for the changes!

Added a new program called ProphetWatch - it will monitor the Prophet Systems radio broadcasting and production software for a message that sometimes pops up during automatic download and import of radio programs.
PsiAfc.exe – Unable to Locate Component
This application has failed to start because MFC71.DLL was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix the problem.
This error message doesn’t seem to affect the radio program, but it requires operator intervention to cancel so that the FTP and import processes can continue. This means that you can’t set the system to automatically download and import radio programs. Some producers require that downloads of their programs occur during the night to free up bandwidth during the day.
The manager of WSMA 90.5 Scituate asked me for this - enjoy!

We’re no longer broadcasting, but you can catch our archives for a short time. We’ll be pulling just the talk and posting that as MP3/Podcasts.
Both Jeff and I are very active at Horizon Christian Fellowship, with Jeff heading up the senior youth ministry and Matt on the worship team and handling various other computer and radio-related stuff. We both felt RSR was taking away time we should be spending with our families.
Our prayer is that the Lord raise up people to restore this ministry or to otherwise handle it the way He wants.
God Bless,
- Jeff & Matt

What does the world give you that’s new? Does it stay new?
The newness of the world will always grow old. The things around you change, but you will stay the same.
But the newness of God is a transforming power to make you internally “new every morning”, even as the world changes or stays the same: it won’t matter.
When Jesus instituted the Lord’s Supper, He said that, “this is the new covenant in My blood.” He fulfilled the old law and created the new covenant. No longer would people have to sacrifice, attend the feasts, the purification rituals, worry about eating things, touching things… all of that impossible-to-follow law was gone, finished in Christ.
And now, today, no longer do you have to worry about what you must do to get to heaven, did you do enough good deeds, did you walk enough old ladies across the street, give enough to charity… all you have to do is accept the sacrifice that Jesus made. Accept what HE did.
Great concert on November 16th at Mt Zion Christian School in Bedford, NH: Kutless and Disciple!

When you look around the world, you see a lot of strange things going on. A recent news story talked about a newly married man got into a drunken fight at his reception. His new bride obtained a restraining order and he broke it not long after that, and he ended up spending his honeymoon time in jail.
What is wrong with us? We’re looking tonight at Romans 5, 6 and 7 where the apostle Paul discusses this topic.
What benefit do you receive from the sin you pursue?
Being married to sin, Christ took your sin on the cross where it died, and you are now free to choose to “marry” Christ and His righteousness.
Being married to Christ, in His church, you are no longer judged by the standard of the Law.
Are you in a church that says, “You have to do this or act like this or you’ll be judged…” ? Christ has freed us from that law.
The difference between wanting to do sin and having a changed heart where you don’t want to sin isn’t a set of rules that you have to learn to follow; the difference is love. God writes His law on our hearts and He gives us the desires of our hearts. What can be better than receiving the desire of your heart?
God Bless,
- Jeff & Matt

RockSolidRadio is all about playing rock, rap and alternative Christian music. These songs are created by bands that just want to sing about their Lord Jesus Christ. Sometimes they talk about problems that God helps them through, sometimes they are praising God or asking for help. Same themes as the book of Psalms: the songbook of the Bible.
Christ hasn’t come to burden us: He came to take away our burdens. The Christian life isn’t one that is joyless. Frowning all the time. Wearing suits and making sure your tie is on straight. There’s a grand story playing out in this world, and God has a part in that story made just for you.
We encourage you to listen to the archive and hear the message, the words and not just the music.
God Bless,
- Jeff & Matt
